Story

Electric Crush formed in 2019, by a number of seasoned musicians that came together to create a band that performs a perfect fusion of classic rock and pop music. The band is comprised of some of the most talented musicians around. They keep the crowd on their feet all night long and play some of the most intricate crowd-pleasing songs that you won't hear from any ordinary cover band. This high energy group have extensive musical backgrounds which is apparent from the second they hit the stage. This is a group you won't want to miss!

Cheryl Menzies

Lead Singer, Keyboard, Guitar

Cheryl is a mom of 3 boys and a Professional Engineer, with a Mechanical Engineering and Management degree from McMaster University.  She works as an Account Manager at a company called Lakeside Process Controls.  In 2014, she found a band on Kijiji called The Fletcher Project (Luke's Band) that was looking for a new singer.  They continued in a band for 4 years.  In 2018, Cheryl and Josh started a new band called Call Me Sunday.  In 2019, Luke, Cheryl and Josh got together to form this new band.  Cheryl enjoys travelling, running and spending time at the cottage with her family.

Luke Fletcher

 Lead Guitar, Backup Vocals

Luke has a University degree in Music as well as a Teaching Diploma.   He started a band called "The Fletcher Project" in 2006 as the instructor, teaching each of the members how to play their instruments.  With the turnover of various members, he later joined the band initially as the bass player then as lead guitarist.  Luke was the lead singer and lead guitarist in a Black Label Society tribute band called "Red Label Society".  Luke writes his own original heavy metal songs.  In his spare time he enjoys gaming, travelling and losing to Cheryl at foosball.

Brad McNeil

Drummer

Brad has been drumming for 20+ years. He started with a high school band and quickly went on to play in working cover bands. In the early 2000’s his motivation led him to working with original bands and writing his own music. In 2006 He was called up to signed band with albums in stores and jumped on the opportunity to tour North America opening for Finger Eleven, The Trews, Sloan, Our Lady Peace, Hedley, Silverstein and many others. Throughout his music career he has earned a few endorsements with Los Cabos Drumsticks (past) Samsun Cymbals and VWDrum (current).

Jason Shine

Bass, Backup Vocals

Jason is a father of 3 and works at ATS Automation.  He has been playing bass for a variety of bands for the past 25 years, including a RHCP tribute, Metallica tribute, an original project and also a country band.  He has taken studies in the Jazz program at Mohawk college in Hamilton.  This band was in search of a versatile bass player and he fit right in.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, golfing and losing to Cheryl at Foosball.
